Kosher coffee can be enjoyed in Jewish households and can make a great gift for certain occasions. For coffee to be Kosher, it has to be prepared in a Kosher environment, inspected by a Rabbi or Kosher organization, and certified. You will be able to tell if coffee is certified Kosher if it has Kosher certification symbols on the label. Kosher coffee can be purchased from a variety of locations. Over the years, we've had many inquiries about coffee and keeping Kosher. Although all our coffee is certified kosher, we took it a step further with our Cafe Jerusalem, Star-K certified kosher coffee - offering an entirely kosher brand.

According to Star K, coffee beans are inherently kosher because water is the only substance the beans come into contact with during harvesting, processing, and roasting process. It is only when flavoring, decaffeination, and drinking coffee in a coffee shop come into play, that kashrut issues arise.
